SEZ International ("we", "our", or "us") operates the SEZ International mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information You Provide
- Profile Information: Name, father's name, prefix, title, date of birth, email address, mobile number, occupation, designation, and profile photo.
- ITS Number: Your ITS membership number used for authentication via ITS One Login.
- Community Information: Jamaat and Jamiyat affiliation.
b) Information Collected Automatically
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device's location solely for event attendance verification (to confirm your presence at an event venue). Location data is collected only when you actively use the attendance feature.
- Device Information: Basic device information required for app functionality and push notifications.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- To authenticate your identity via ITS One Login.
- To manage your membership profile within the SEZ community.
- To facilitate event registration and attendance tracking.
- To verify your physical presence at event venues using location data.
- To send you event-related broadcasts and notifications.
- To generate your digital SEZ ID card and entry pass QR codes.
- To enable voting in community events.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your information may be shared only in the following circumstances:
- ITS Authentication: Your ITS number is verified through the ITS One Login service operated by the Dawoodi Bohra community.
- Event Organisers: Event-specific information (attendance, registration status) is shared with authorised SEZ event administrators.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored on secure servers with restricted access.
- Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage.
- We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, or destruction.
- Profile photos are stored securely and are only visible to authorised administrators.
5. Location Data
Location access is used exclusively for event attendance verification. Specifically:
- Location is only accessed when you initiate the "Arrival Scanning" feature.
- We check if you are within the designated radius of the event venue.
- We do not track your location in the background or outside of attendance verification.
- You can deny location permission; in that case, manual attendance scanning by event staff will be used instead.
6. Camera Access
Camera access is used for:
- Uploading your profile photo.
- Scanning QR codes for event attendance (if you have scanner permissions).
Photos and scans are used solely for the stated purposes and are not shared with third parties.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: View all personal data we hold about you through the App's profile section.
- Update: Edit your profile information at any time through the App.
- Delete: Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting the SEZ administration.
- Withdraw Consent: Revoke location or camera permissions at any time through your device settings.
8. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
